Polidori, John : A vámpír
- description
- additional information
1816 nyarán, a Genfi-tó partján, a Villa Diodati lidérces épületében egy kis társaság rémtörténetek kitalálásával múlatta az időt. Az eseménynek a két költőóriás, Byron és Shelley jelenléte mellett az ad irodalomtörténeti jelentőséget, hogy míg az ott kitalált történetekből Mary Shelley (a költő későbbi felesége) megírta legendás regényét, a "Frankenstein"-t, Byron orvosa és titkára, John W. Polidori megalkotta minden vámpírtörténet ősét.
Jelen kötetünkben most John Polidori legendás, ám magyarul régóta nem hozzáférhető művét tesszük közzé, Benedek Szabolcs friss, mai nyelven elkészített fordításában.
