Bohuš, Ivan: Vysoké Tatry na starých pohľadniciach

As part of its Cities on Old Postcards series, DAJAMA Publishing is dedicated to rediscovering the ancient and sometimes forgotten beauty of Slovakia. The postcards, reproduced in 1:1 scale with descriptions in English, German, Polish, and Hungarian, are accompanied by detailed accompanying texts. The charm of old postcards provides a more vivid experience and a fuller sense of the place described than, for example, contemporary photographs or illustrations. This is especially true when it comes to such a specific "city" as the High Tatras. The Tatra settlements and valleys have long been the focus of attention for postcard publishers, and over the past decades, several hundred, even thousands, have appeared. This made the publisher's desire to include the High Tatras in this edition and to express its relationship to the beautiful Slovak mountains through old postcards all the more beautiful and responsible.
